About the S.T.E.W. Project

The S.T.E.W. Project (TSP) was originally founded in 2015 with the purpose of motivating individuals to enjoy taking care of themselves with effective exercise and dietary practices through personal training and nutritional counseling.

It has later evolved and now offers holistic health coaching, life coaching and nutritional counseling services to reduce chronic illness, anxiety, depression & chronic stress.

TSP is founded on the idea that our lives improve when we nourish ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually, and once we are well, we are then able to radiate that healing in other areas in our lives.

TSP looks to empower people to take control of their health and their life by being proactive in doing the daily tasks necessary to create the life that they want.

Ultimately, everyone wants 3 things out of life:

  • Everyone wants to be happy but… they don’t know how to find true happiness
  • Everyone wants to be healthy but… they don’t know how to manage their mental, physical and spiritual health simultaneously. Lastly,
  • Everyone wants to live a fulfilling, successful life… but they don’t know how to connect to their intuition to follow them to the life of fulfillment and abundance.

TSP helps clients get all of the distractions (mental block, self doubt, physical insecurities and imbalances) out of the way so they can achieve a happier, healthier life and continue the journey for the rest of their lives.

About Your Coach

My name is Amber Stewart and I was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi where I first fell in love with the human body through my passion in dance (specifically ballet, modern and jazz) and cheerleading. I had dreams of becoming a professional dancer one day until I broke my ankle cheerleading and had to think of a different career path.

As a result of my ankle injury, I studied Exercise Science at the University of Southern Mississippi with hope of becoming a Physical Therapist but my senior year internship at the Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab facility in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia shifted my interest in personal training individuals suffering from special conditions when a member of the Cardiac Rehab program asked me to train his wife. Shortly after, The STEW Project (TSP) was born in 2015 and I had a full roster of personal training clients who were had a variety of special conditions including, scoliosis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, spinal injuries, post knee surgery, frozen shoulders, and more.

I took a step back from my personal training business around mid 2016 and went the corporate wellness route when I became a Health Fitness Specialist and worked at the CDC facility helping their employees find their inner strength and support them on their wellness journey. After 2 years I became a Senior Health Fitness Specialist and was manager over 2 of the wellness cites in Atlanta but shortly after, I transferred to San Francisco, CA where I became the Assistant Manager of the Federal Building’s Wellness centers in the downtown area located in the 50 UN Plaza building, Philip Burton Federal Building and the SF Federal Building on 90 7th Street.

8 Months after being in my Assistant Manager position, I was promoted to Operations Manager and kept the facilities running until the COVID-19 pandemic hit. When the pandemic forced the gyms to shut down, I spent my free time working on rebuilding TSP with the idea of creating an all inclusive program that would help clients, let go of every excuse that prevented them from making the necessary changes to meet their wellness goals.

Whether it would be health conditions, busy schedules or emotional issues that would keep them from reaching their fitness goals, I expanded my services to ensure that my clients reach their goals regardless of their needs. Because let’s face it: at the end of the day, every one just wants to do the following things:

  • They want to go where they want…and not have to limit their options because of health issues or a lack in energy.
  • They want to eat what they want… but not allow their food choices to negatively affect their health or physical appearance.
  • They want to make their own decisions…but not have their choices hinder their personal, spiritual or professional growth.

We all want to be happy, healthy and live fulfilling lives so I made sure that I got the proper education to create a program that would allow that. This is why I became a Certified Transformation Nutrition Coach, ACE certified Health coach, Master Life Coach, Exercise Physiologist and Corrective exercise specialist. I work with clients who are tired of struggling with chronic stress, anxiety or depression and I teach them how to manage their weight issues, high blood pressure, diabetes, joint pain, or other chronic conditions, so they can enjoy their life again, on their terms.

With TSP my clients are be able to experience a mental, physical and emotional transformation that will help them reduce their stress, improve their health, give them their body goals and give them the tools to maintain the results for a lifetime.
