Prioritizing Mental Health

 Hey there! How’s it going today?

Did you plan out your physical activity yesterday? Planning your schedule out can help ward off stress which is what we are going to cover in today’s video.

Ok so before you watch the video, I just want to clarify that not all stress is bad. There are actually 2 types of stress: The first kind is eustress which is moderate or normal psychological stress that is interpreted as being beneficial for the person experiencing it. You know how you can get bored at work if you aren’t being challenged? Well if life is too easy, then we have difficulty finding joy and happiness.

On the other end of the spectrum, there is chronic stress, distress, which is the feeling of being overwhelmed or unable to cope with mental or emotional pressure.

When we aren’t able to set boundaries in place;

When we don’t take the time to process our emotions or

When we don’t allow ourselves time to rest, we can become stressed, overwhelmed and burned out.

Watch the video to learn how we are going to work on managing our stress and mental health for this challenge.

Once again, if you have any questions or need any assistance brainstorming ideas to help you minimize stress in your life, then just respond to this email and I’ll help you find some breakthroughs.
